Anthropologie goes Bridal!

For those who religiously peruse the countless number of wedding blogs out there, you’ve quickly realized that the trend in weddings (and it’s hear to stay!) is the hand-crafted uniqueness and cohesive randomness of all aspect of a wedding, especially the details, which collectively displays each couple’s personality and style.  From the arrangement of flowers, or lack there of, to the decor brought from home or the flea market, to the not-so-cliche bridesmaid sun or jersy dresses, this one-of-a-kind eclectic vintage aesthetic is most inspired by Anthropologie.   (good thing about blogs is that run-on sentences are ok.. right?!!) =) )

As I perused my favorite wedding blogs in search of the perfect photo to convey this look, the photo above was the winner. I love the work of  Jessica Claire, and sure enough this anthropologie inspired photoshoot puts all my words into a photo).  With that preface said….on with my headline blog!

The news is out!

With such a faithful following of clientel and increasing, Urban Outfitters, Inc., adding the title bridal outfitter to their already vast repertoire was bound to happen! It’s about time! 😉 I can’t wait!

“Urban Outfitters, Inc. has announced its evolution into the bridal industry; this will be the sixth concept under the Urban umbrella, joining Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, Free People, Terrain and Leifsdottir.

The currently unnamed wedding brand will provide resources for brides-to-be, offering both event-focused attire and services like planning and styling advice. The collection is quite extensive: wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, shoes, jewelry, bags, intimate apparel, invitations, decorations and gifts will all be included. Prices for gowns will range from $750 to $5000, with dresses starting at $200.

The concept was developed by the same people behind the largely successful chain Anthropologie and is set to debut online in Spring 2011, though they do plan to open selects stores across the US.”
